Odia Poet Prativa Satpathy To Receive Gangadhar National Award For Poetry 2023

Renowned Odia poet Prativa Satpathy will receive the Gangadhar National Award for Poetry 2023 from Sambalpur University, coinciding with the institution’s 58th foundation day on January 5.

Satpathy, who has been honored with the Sahitya Akademi Award, gained recognition in the 1960s with her notable work, Sesha Janha.

The award, established to commemorate the poet Gangadhar Meher, has been presented annually since 1989.
