Bhuvnesh Kumar has assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), succeeding Amit Agrawal. Kumar, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from the 1995 batch of the Uttar Pradesh cadre, now leads the organization.

The UIDAI, responsible for the management of Aadhaar, is integral to the digital identity framework of India. In addition to his new position, Kumar holds the title of additional secretary at the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY), succeeding Amit Agrawal, who is a 1993 batch IAS officer. Under Kumar’s guidance, UIDAI is poised to continue its vital contributions to governance and service delivery in India.
